It’s a tough time to break into the music industry, but we know that the young British talent behind Amateur Best will be going far. London-based musician Joe Flory uses his cool music to tell the story of James Best, a fictional character featured in a series of comics which accompany Amateur Best’s songs. With this project, Flory is offering a refreshing approach to today’s super saturated, ever-changing realm of music. Needless to say, Amateur Best sparked our curiosity the instant we heard about its concept, and we’re finding ourselves hooked as we willingly explore Flory’s musical world even further.
To put you on board, we have just the right track for you to listen to: Ready For The Good Life, a super catchy song that got our attention from the start and had us shivering with pleasure 15 seconds in. Out on 1st October, this amazing pop track is Amateur Best’s second single. It features pitched drums, hot bass drops, the talented Chilly Gonzales on piano, as well as lyrics that do nothing but inspire and motivate us.
